St Georges & Priorslee Parish Council is always keen to support and provide an ambitious programme of parish projects. These projects are intended to help improve visual amenity and safety of the area as well as providing better services, especially through support to local community groups.
Christmas lights
Christmas Lights Working Group - update 17 October 2023
With Christmas fast approaching, we’re happy to say that we’re full steam ahead for our Christmas Lights switch on event on Friday 1 December 2023.
The Parish Council are continuing to work closely with the Festive lights contractor to ensure that lights are well maintained, and additional lights have been sourced from external suppliers.
Contact is still ongoing with Telford and Wrekin Council to ensure that any necessary upgrades to Streetlighting have been completed before our contractor is due to commence work.
Christmas Lights Working Group - update 28 September 2023
Our new contractor has taken receipt of the Christmas lights, carried out checks and compiled a full asset list.
The contractor will be carrying out any repairs necessary or providing a quotation for any replacement lights required.
A plan of where Christmas lights are to be positioned was discussed and quotations requested from the Contractor for any additional lighting required.
It was agreed that both St Georges & Priorslee Christmas lights will both be switched on at 6.30pm on Friday 1 December.
Contact will continue with Telford & Wrekin Council to ensure that infrastructure is in place for all lighting required.
